Meridian Completes 219,858 SF Chicago Project

Meridian Design Build recently completed work on a 219,858 SF automated package sortation and distribution center in Chicago for developer Scannell Properties. The new build-to-suit is located on a 41.38 acre redevelopment site with more than 3,000 feet of expressway frontage on the north side of Interstate 55 at South Damen Avenue.
Engineered ground improvements including dynamic compaction, cement soil stabilization, and the installation of over 900 aggregate piers were completed to prepare the site for development. More than 6,800 tons of asphalt and concrete were recycled onsite and incorporated into the new construction.

Meridian Completes 510,722 SF of Construction in Ohio

Meridian Design Build recently completed 510,722 SF of construction on two buildings for developer Scannell Properties in Twinsburg, OH. The new facilities, a 303,888 SF build-to-suit and a 207,360 SF speculative industrial building, are located on 59 acres of land within Cornerstone Business Park.
The build-to-suit project, constructed for a leading provider of global shipping and information services, features 99 loading docks, 236 interior van loading position, 509 exterior trailer stalls and 15,434 SF of office/administrative space. Meridian Design Build and Venture One Real Estate broke ground on a 180,121 SF manufacturing and corporate headquarters facility for AJR Filtration at 1200 Equity Drive in St. Charles, IL.
A development of Venture One Real Estate, the AJR facility is part of East Kirk Commerce Center in St. Charles on a 33 acre development site located at the northeast corner of Kirk Road and Division Street. A three-year tax abatement program was secured from local governmental entities by the developer. Meridian Completes Niles Redevelopment Project

Meridian Design Build recently completed construction on a 306,448 SF automated package sortation and distribution center in Niles, IL for developer Scannell Properties. The new build to suit facility is located on a 34 acre redevelopment site at the southeast corner of Howard Street and Lehigh Avenue.
The scope of the design-build project included the demolition of multiple parking lots and an existing 756,000 SF industrial building, which had been home to a Grainger distribution center for over 50 years.
