Meridian Completes Rockford Area Build to Suit

Meridian Design Build recently completed the construction of an automated package sorting and distribution center in Winnebago County, IL, for Ruedebusch Development & Construction. The new facility, constructed on a design-build basis, is located within the I-39 Logistics Corridor on a 24-acre site in Venture One’s Rock 39 Industrial Park.
The 186,533 SF building includes 58 loading docks, 142 interior van loading positions, 187 exterior trailer stalls and a 390 car employee parking lot. Additional improvements included construction of a maintenance garage and a freestanding gateway building that serves as a secure entry point into the facility

Meridian Awarded West Palm Beach Build to Suit

Meridian Design Build recently began construction on a 225,198 SF package sorting and distribution center in West Palm Beach, Florida for a leading supplier of global shipping and information services. The new facility, being developed by SunCap Property Group, will be located on a 27.2 acre site at the southeast corner of Pike Road and 7th Place North.
The scope of the project includes the demolition of two existing buildings and a significant amount of asphalt and concrete pavement, which will be crushed onsite and incorporated into the new construction. The building…
Meridian Completes Hyatt Place Hotel in Kentucky

Meridian Design Build’s National Projects Group recently completed construction on a 72,500 SF Hyatt Place hotel in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The four-story hotel, located adjacent to Western Kentucky University’s Augenstein Alumni Center, includes 108 rooms, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and meeting rooms.
Meridian designed and built the hotel to incorporate environmentally friendly features, including LED lighting and low emissivity windows. Carpets, paints, and adhesives with low levels of volatile organic compounds were also used throughout the hotel’s interior…

Meridian Design Build Begins Work on Ohio Spec Project

Meridian Design Build was recently selected by developer Scannell Properties to coordinate the construction of a new 207,360 SF speculative industrial building in Twinsburg, OH.
The multi-tenant facility, located on a 14-acre site within Cornerstone Business Park, will include 171 auto parking stalls, five tenant entrances, and 26 loading docks. Leasing activity for the project has been strong and it is likely that a lease will be signed for a significant portion of the building prior to its scheduled completion in late summer of this year…
