Meridian Completes WSI Expansion in Sauk Village

Howard Green, Executive Vice President of Meridian Design Build, is pleased to announce that the firm has completed a 207,790 square-foot cross-docked/rail-served expansion for Appleton, Wisconsin-based Warehouse Specialists, Inc. (WSI) within Building C at 21700 Mark Collins Drive in the new LogistiCenter at Sauk Village industrial park. Reno, Nevada-based DP Partners, is developing the project in partnership with the Village of Sauk Village. The expansion increases the size of WSI’s space from 308,282 square feet to 516,072 square feet. The expansion included the installation of 5 additional truck dock positions as well as a dual rail track extension and 2 added rail docks. Meridian Selected for Paragon Infrastructure

Meridian Design Build is pleased to announce that they have been selected to coordinate the design and construction of infrastructure improvements for Paragon Business Center, a new 48- acre business park being developed by First American Properties at Taylor Road and Belmont Drive in Romeoville, IL.
Meridian Design Build will be responsible for mass grading, stormwater detention, installation of new roadways, street lighting, and public and private utilities. This will help in the subdivision of the property and to accommodate speculative and build-to-suit industrial buildings ranging in size from 30,000 square feet, up to 200,000 square feet. Meridian Selected to Construct AMB Remington Lakes Spec

Meridian Design Build is pleased to announce that they have broken ground on a new 228,494 square foot speculative industrial facility for AMB Property Corporation in Bolingbrook, IL. The scheduled completion date for the AMB Remington Lakes Distribution Center is early summer 2007.
Located right off of I-55 and South Frontage Road at 750 Veterans Parkway, the 30’ clear facility will be divisible down to 75,000 square feet. Meridian Commences Renovation for Highland Baking Co.

Paul Chuma, President of Meridian Design Build LLC, is pleased to announce that the firm has begun demolition and extensive renovation work on an existing 250,000 square foot building acquired by Highland Baking Co, located at 2301 Shermer Road in Northbrook, Illinois.
The facility will replace Highland’s existing facilities in Lincolnwood, Illinois. It will serve as the main production facility for all their baking, distribution, cold storage, and general administration needs. Scheduled for completion in Spring 2007, the facility is the former site of the H.J. Heinz Company.
