Meridian Breaks Ground on Kubota Engine Expansion

Meridian Design Build recently broke ground on a 100,280SF building expansion for Kubota Engine America in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The project, which is being completed on a design/build basis, consists of 81,880SF of plant/warehouse space and 18,400SF of space intended to serve as future offices. Site improvements are also under way to accommodate additional employee parking for the growing company.
Peter Schmidt, Senior Vice President and Ryan Moore, Project Engineer are managing the project for Meridian Design Build. Greg Suthers, Superintendent, is coordinating work at the job site. Meridian Begins work on 38 Acre Redevelopment Project

Meridian Design Build has been selected to act as general contractor for a 38 acre redevelopment project for Polmax Transportation at 122nd and Central in Alsip, IL. Demolition work is currently underway at the site, previously home to an auto auction mall.
The project includes construction of a new 150,585SF cross dock facility that will include full service truck maintenance and repair bays, a truck wash, and approximately 20,000SF of corporate office space. Site improvements will include accommodations for the secured parking of approximately 500 trailers. Meridian selected for 50,000SF Building Renovation

Meridian Design Build has been selected by MC², a national leader in the event and exhibits industry, to complete the renovation of a 50,000SF building located at 160 East Fullerton in Carol Stream, IL. The single-tenant industrial building is owned by Colony Realty Partners and managed by Colliers International.
Construction is underway on the fast-track project which includes gut renovation of the existing office space and a significant amount of compressed air and electrical distribution work to accommodate relocation of the company’s manufacturing operations from its existing facility at 2120 South Jefferson in Chicago. Meridian Awarded 239,000SF Build-to-Suit Facility

Meridian Design Build has been selected by Scannell Properties to coordinate the design and construction of a 239,000SF Build-to-Suit facility on a 54.2 Acre land site in Romeoville, IL. The new building will serve as a ground distribution and package sorting center for Scannell’s tenant, a leading global provider of shipping and information services.
Mayor John Noak announced at Romeoville’s January 10th “State of the Village” address that the company has plans to invest more than $37 million at the new facility. The Mayor noted that the project “is expected to bring nearly 400 jobs to Romeoville,” and called it “one of the most exciting new projects” of the year…
