Meridian Design Build’s National Projects Group was recently selected by developer Scannell Properties to coordinate construction efforts for a new 304,317 SF package and sorting distribution center on a 60 acre site in Pittston Township, PA.
The facility, being constructed on a build-to-suit basis for a leading provider of global shipping and information services, will include 99 loading docks, 238 interior van loading positions, 586 auto parking stalls, and 375 exterior trailer stalls. Meridian Completes Spec Building in SE Wisconsin

Meridian Design Build recently completed construction on a 132,002 SF speculative industrial facility in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. The building, constructed for Land and Lakes Development, offers 10 loading docks, two drive in doors, and 153 parking spaces.
The facility, located about 1 mile east of Interstate 94, is the first to be built in Land and Lakes’ new 60-acre Mount Pleasant Business Park, which has the potential to accommodate up to 800,000 square feet of new construction…
Meridian Awarded 303,888 SF Build-to-Suit

Meridian Design Build was recently selected by developer Scannell Properties to provide design-build construction services for a 303,888 SF package and sortation distribution center in Twinsburg, OH. The new facility will be located at CornerStone Business Park, with access to interchanges at Interstate Highways I-480 and I-271.
The building will include 99 loading docks, 236 interior van loading positions, 509 exterior trailer stalls and 15,434 SF of office/administrative space. Additional construction will include a freestanding 5,180 SF maintenance garage as well as a 3,135 SF gateway building, which will serve as a secure entry point into the facility…
Meridian Starts Construction on Romeoville Expansion

Meridian Design Build broke ground in early November on a 70,411 SF expansion to an existing 224,833 SF ground distribution and package sorting center in Romeoville, IL. The expansion, Meridian’s ninth project for Indianapolis based developer Scannell Properties, is being constructed on a build-to-suit basis to accommodate the growing needs of Scannell’s tenant, a leading global provider of shipping and information services.
The expansion will add 3,442 SF of new office space and 95 interior van loading positions, increasing capacity at the facility by nearly 50%. Site modifications will include 185 new auto parking stalls and 69 additional trailer stalls. Construction is expected to be completed in late summer 2015.
