Meridian Starts Work on Wheeling Facility Renovation

Meridian Design Build recently started work on the renovation an existing 147,006 SF industrial building in Wheeling, IL to accommodate a state-of-the-art sorting and distribution center. The facility, being developed by Scannell Properties, is located near the Chicago Executive Airport.
The new home delivery facility will include a 139,693 SF package sortation/distribution center and 7,300 SF of office space. Site modifications will be made to accommodate 23 exterior trailer positions, 34 van storage positions, and a 129 car employee parking lot. 6 new loading docks and 5 additional drive-in doors will be provided to accommodate the operation of the new facility…
