Meridian Completes Auto Truck Build to Suit

Meridian Design Build recently completed construction of a 103,585 square foot build-to-suit facility for Auto Truck Group on a 16.26-acre site within Brewster Creek Business Park in Bartlett, IL. Serving as the company’s corporate headquarters, the new building includes 12,600 square feet of office space and a 5,700 square foot vehicle showroom. Auto Truck has specialized in the up-fitting of work trucks with customized bodies, cranes, lifts and other equipment for utility companies, railroads, municipalities, private contractors, and others since 1918 and is relocating their operation from an existing facility on Ellis Avenue in Bensenville. Meridian Design Build meets Sustainability Milestone

Meridian Design Build recently achieved a milestone in their Sustainability Initiative with more than a third of their Project Management staff holding the LEED AP designation.
“We have made it a priority to train our project managers in the area of sustainable design and have encouraged them to pursue LEED accreditation. As a result of these efforts, we expect that several more will become accredited in the coming months,” said Paul Chuma, President of Meridian Design Build. Meridian Breaks Ground on Morey Corporation Expansion

Meridian Design Build has broken ground on an 81,000 square foot addition for electronics manufacturer The Morey Corporation in Woodridge, IL. Located within Internationale Centre, this expansion will be the 2nd building addition completed by Meridian Design Build for the growing company within the last 2 years.
Scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2009, the expansion includes 45,000 square feet of temperature and humidity controlled manufacturing space, 28,000 square feet of raw material and finished goods warehousing, and 8,000 square feet of employee welfare space including restrooms, cafeteria space, and meeting areas. Meridian Selected for Chicago Build to Suit

Meridian Design Build has been selected by Gypsum Supply Company to act as design-build general contractor for a new 37,942 square foot facility to be constructed in Chicago’s Stockyards Industrial Park. Gypsum Supply Company is a premier material supplier in the drywall, plaster, insulation, acoustical tile and grid, steel framing and accessories, EIFS and exterior systems markets.
Scheduled for completion in the 2nd quarter of 2009, the building will contain warehouse and distribution space, 3,000 square foot of office/employee support areas, and a product showroom.
