Auto Truck Build to Suit Nominated For Two Awards

NAIOP Chicago recently announced the Auto Truck Group build-to-suit as a nominee in two categories for their 22nd Annual Awards for Excellence. The 103,600 SF Auto Truck Group facility, completed in April of this year, has been nominated for Industrial Build-to-Suit of the Year and Broker Transaction of the Year – Industrial.

The project was developed by Abbott Land and Investment Corporation and constructed by Meridian Design Build. The design team included Ware Malcomb (architect), Jacob and Hefner Associates P.C. (civil engineer), and Gary R. Weber Associates (landscape architect.) Meridian Completes 2nd Expansion for Morey Corporation

Meridian Design Build has completed an 81,000 square foot addition for electronics manufacturer The Morey Corporation in Woodridge, IL. Located within Internationale Centre, this expansion is the 2nd building addition completed by Meridian Design Build for the growing company within the last 2 years.

The expansion includes 45,000 square feet of temperature and humidity controlled manufacturing space, 28,000 square feet of raw material and finished goods warehousing, and 8,000 square feet of employee welfare space including restrooms, cafeteria space, and meeting areas. Meridian Completes Construction at Bluff Point III

Meridian Design Build recently completed construction on the 506,800 Bluff Point III Distribution Facility, Land and Lakes Development Company’s third project within Bluff Point Business Park located at the intersection of Joliet Road and Bluff Road in Romeoville, IL.

Land and Lakes Development Company has successfully constructed and leased in excess of 1 Million SF of space within the park since 2005. Bluff Point I was fully leased to the Wrigley Company in 2005 and Prairie Packaging (now owned by Pactiv Corporation) signed a lease for all of the Bluff Point II building in 2007. Meridian Completes Chicago Build To Suit

Meridian Design Build has completed construction on a new 37,942 square foot facility for Gypsum Supply Company in the Chicago’s Stockyards Industrial Park. Gypsum Supply Company is a premier material supplier in the drywall, plaster, insulation, acoustical tile and grid, steel framing and accessories, EIFS and exterior systems markets. The building, constructed by Meridian on a Design-Build basis, contains +/-33,000SF of warehouse and distribution space, 3,000 square feet of office/employee support/showroom areas, onsite detention, and a significant amount of fenced outside storage. Construction commenced last November with Gypsum Supply taking occupancy of the facility in mid-June.
