Meridian to Construct USDA Meat Processing Facility

Chicago, IL, April 10th, 2019 – Meridian Design Build recently began construction on an 84,000sf USDA meat processing plant for Amylu Foods in the heart of Chicago’s Stockyards Industrial Park at 1400 W. 44th Street.
The new sausage processing facility will include 56,000 sf of production/cold storage space, a -10 °F freezer, and 16,500 sf of 2-story corporate office space featuring separate raw and cooked employee facilities, laboratory, and test kitchen functions.
