Meridian Design Build recently completed construction work for a 236,273 SF distribution center for Johnstone Supply in Joliet, IL. Improvements to the existing facility located at 3500 Corporate Drive were completed on a fast-track basis one month ahead of schedule.
Significant improvements were completed to accommodate the tenant’s requirements including installation of T-5 warehouse lighting, construction of a hazardous materials storage area, reconfiguration/expansion of office and shipping office space, and installation/reconfiguration of loading docks to accommodate a single-loaded operation. Meridian Begins Work on Cicero Renovation Project

Meridian Design Build was recently selected by C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. to coordinate the renovation of a 90,000 SF manufacturing facility in Cicero, IL. Improvements to the building, currently home to CRL Glass Machinery (formerly Sommer & Maca), are being made to streamline existing operations and accommodate the needs of CRL’s recently acquired U.S. Aluminum division.

Meridian Awarded Out-of-State Self Storage Project

Meridian Design Build was recently selected to act as general contractor for The Lock Up, a self storage facility in Bonita Springs, Florida. Scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2013, the new self storage center will consist of a 73,024 SF four-story main building and a separate 6,768 SF single-story structure. The facility will be situated on U.S. 41, north of Bonita Beach Road.

Meridian Design Build was recently selected to coordinate construction efforts for a 236,273 SF distribution center for Johnstone Supply at 3500 Corporate Drive in Joliet, IL. The new facility will be Johnstone Supply’s first Distribution Center in Illinois. The national wholesaler and distributor of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration parts and equipment will utilize this facility to relieve pressure on its Memphis distribution center and offer same-day deliveries to its 60+ retail stores throughout the Midwest.
