Meridian Awarded Spartanburg Package Sortation Facility

Meridian Design Build’s National Projects Group was recently selected by SunCap Property Group to design and construct a 254,353 SF package sorting and distribution center on a +/- 60-acre site in Spartanburg, SC. The facility will be located just off I-85 at Falling Creek Road and Fort Prince Boulevard.
The new automated sort facility will include 98 loading docks, 166 interior van loading positions, 195 exterior trailer stalls, and 10,953 SF of office/administrative space. A vehicle maintenance facility, remote fueling island, and gateway security building will be provided to support the daily operations of the facility. Meridian Starts Construction on SE Wisconsin Project

Meridian Design Build recently broke ground on a 76,320 SF expansion to an existing seasonings plant in Sturtevant, WI for Kerry Ingredients & Flavours.
The multi-phase design-build project will be completed in mid-summer 2014. The fully air-conditioned warehouse addition will include 10 new loading docks and a secure spice storage area. Significant improvements will also be made within the existing plant to accommodate increased production output at the facility. This is Meridian Design Build’s fourth project for Kerry Ingredients & Flavours since 2010.
Meridian Breaks Ground on Hyatt Place Hotel

Meridian Design Build’s National Projects Group recently participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 72,500 SF Hyatt Place Hotel in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The new hotel will be located adjacent to Western Kentucky University’s Augenstein Alumni Center. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on September 17.

Meridian Starts Construction on Rock Island Build to Suit

Meridian Design Build’s National Projects Group recently broke ground on a 189,926 SF package sorting and distribution center in Rock Island, IL for Indianapolis-based Scannell Properties. The facility will be located on a 29-acre site at IL-92 and Turkey Hollow Road.
The building will include 8,259 SF of office space, 59 loading docks, 193 exterior trailer stalls and 160 van storage positions. A separate security building and fenced enclosure will provide controlled access to the facility.
